I could have helped Chantelle

GOLDIE LOOKIN CHAIN star MAGGOT reckons he could have saved PRESTON and
CHANTELLE from their doomed ten-month marriage ceremony.


The endearing Welsh rapper, who asterisked on Celebrity Big Brother with the
reality lovebirds, said: "I like to think I was responsible for
delivery them together, but I wasn't even invited to the marriage ceremony.


"Besides, I was to a fault busy performing at Reading and Leeds festival and it all
went t*ts up anyway.


"I could have helped them though if they'd only given me a call."

He also said his parents were proud of him for "doing so well and not
disgracing himself" on the Channel 4 series.


Maggot said: "I was quite friendly with TRACI BINGHAM on the show up,
but when I watched the tapes back I was like, 'Leave the poor little girl alone!'"


The lanky musician is getting quick to hit the Virgin Mobile Union stage at V
Festival this weekend, but won't spill the beans on what secrets he has up
his sleeves.


He said: "We've got something special lined-up, but I've been sworn to
secretiveness. We don't get to play for long, so it's half an hour and twice the
power!


"We'll in all likelihood spend most of our time nerve-racking to contract into the VIP domain. I
conceive we're prohibited.


"Last sentence we played at the at the festival there were quite a a few
blow-up chairs in the Louder Lounge and we may have popped a few. So yeah, I
definitely think we're not allowed in."


The funnyman also revealed some gossip around fellow Welsh star CHARLOTTE
CHURCH
.


Maggot said: "She ripped me off! She's not our enemy, merely she's non our
favourite either.


"I did some voiceover work for her show and they wanted me for three
weeks, but later on one workweek they got rid of me.


"But don't differentiate anyone... I got paid for the whole three weeks."


He besides revealed RHYS IFANS is a grownup fan, expression: "He likes us
because we give him release beer."

A recurrent religious cult front-runner in Northern soul circles, singer Bettye LaVette was born in Muskegon, MI, on January 29, 1946. Raised primarily across the state in Detroit, at 16 she cut her first sides for the local Lupine label, with a test press of the disk qualification its way to Atlantic Records. After sign language with Atlantic, she scored an R&B Top Ten score taboo of the boxful with her debut single, "My Man -- He's a Loving Man," merely to fail to strive the like commercial high once again. After one more Atlantic loss, 1963's "You'll Never Change," LaVette moved back to Lupine for her third base record, "Witchery in the Air." Victoria Beckham - Beckham To Return To Ugly Betty

VICTORIA BECKHAM is reportedly set to return to U.S. TV show UGLY BETTY after her successful cameo role last year (07).

The Spice Girl appeared in the show playing herself as a bridesmaid to Vanessa Williams' catty fashion boss character, Wilhelmina Slater.

Impressed TV bosses asked Beckham to return and the star has now reportedly agreed to a regular guest spot on the programme.

A source tells Australian newspaper the Sydney Morning Herald, "The producers are delighted she will return. She is going to feature quite a bit."

The show is becoming famous for its celebrity cameos, with supermodel Naomi Campbell and Lindsay Lohan both appearing in the latest series of the hit comedy.

Hilary Swank, Molly Smith form 2S Films

Company signs two-year, first-look deal with Alcon





Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and executive-turned-producer Molly Smith have formed 2S Films and signed a two-year, first look agreement with Warner Bros.-based Alcon Entertainment.


2S will develop and produce movies and already has begun putting together a development slate. Two projects on the docket are adaptations based on novels the company has recently optioned for co-production with Alcon:


-- "You're Not You," Michelle Wildgen's debut novel about a woman suffering from a fatal illness and an aimless young woman who enters her life as a personal caregiver. Swank and Smith are producing and are in negotiation to co-produce with Di Novi Pictures.


-- "Falling Out of Fashion," a first novel by Karen Yampolsky about a young woman who leaves a Georgia hippie commune for New York with dreams of becoming a magazine editor.


2S will produce both projects, currently out to writers, and potentially for Swank to topline.


Swank has a long history with Alcon's co-founders and co-presidents Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, dating back to the 2001 drama "The Affair of the Necklace" and 2002's Christopher Nolan thriller "Insomnia," both in which she starred.


Swank most recently toplined the company's romantic comedy "P.S. I Love You" with Gerard Butler. Smith was a producer on the film, which has grossed $145 million worldwide. Swank and Smith met when the former was working as a production exec at Alcon and Swank was starring in Alcon's "Necklace."


"I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Molly on this endeavor," Swank said. "It's always reassuring to work alongside someone with whom you have already established a great professional relationship. I also look forward to the opportunity to collaborate further with a company like Alcon, where there is also a great shared history."


Swank, repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment, was a partner in Accomplice Films, a production outfit she ran with her then-husband, Chad Lowe.

High School Musical star rushed to hospital



Zac Efron was rushed to hospital yesterday woe from appendicitis, his publiciser has confirmed.
The 'High Schooltime Musical' superstar had emergency surgery at the Cedars Sinai Medical examination Center in Los Angeles, and is said to be doing good.
Efron became a teenager heartthrob with his starring role as Ilium Bolton in the hit Disney picture 'High School Musical' and its subsequence. He too starred in the movie 'Hairspray'.
He was hospitalised a day subsequently Walt Disney Studios announced that he and his 'High School Musical' co-stars had signed on to appear in the histrionics cinema 'High School Musical theater 3: Senior Year'.
